Mary Sue Yancey

Mary Sue Yancey, 86, a resident of 215 Peachtree Street, died Friday, July 23rd at Durham Regional Hospital.

She was a native of Mecklenburg Co, Va., but lived the majority of her life in Creedmoor. She was the daughter of the late Sidney and Lena Griffin Allgood. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Creedmoor and was a retired seamtress from Creedmoor Sportswear.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Monday, July 26th at the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor by the Rev. Eddie Mauldin and Rev. Willis Herman. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens.

Surviving are two sons, Graham Yancey (June) of Butner, Dale Yancey(Sandra), of Creedmoor, four grandchildren, Ron Yancey, Tara Ramsey(Jeff),Tammy Stevens, Jerry Stevens(Sara), three great grandchildren, Morgan Ramsey, Ashlyn Ramsey, and Rylan Stevens, five sisters, Christine Matthews, Marie Honeycutt, Edith Nicholson, Joyce  Wilson, Judy Glascock, four brothers, Ryland Allgood, Houston Allgood, Meredith Allgood and Patrick (Butch) Allgood. She was preceded in death by her husband Otis Yancey of 57 years and a son, William Ray Yancey.

Visitation 7:00 to 8:30 PM Sunday evening , July 25th at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home of Dale and Sandra Yancey, 1571 Cash Road, Creedmoor, NC 27522.
